WILLAMINA YOUTH KILLED IN ITALY

WILLAMINA, Dec. 16 – Wallace E. Kidder, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kidder of Willamina, was killed in action in Italy, November 12, according to word received by his parents.

He was a member of the 1st ranger battalion and had seen some of the heaviest fighting in Africa, Sicily and Italy.

Kidder was born in Tillamook, March 17, 1922, but lived in Garibaldi most of his life, until he came to Willamina to assist his father in his business.

He is survived by his wife and a 10-month-old son whom he has never seen; this parents and a brother, Billy Kidder, stationed at pearl Harbor with the navy.
