Francis Byron Patterson, weight 9 1/2 pounds, arrived at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Patterson on Thursday, March 20th, 1919. This is their first-born and these young people are very proud of their new son.

Francis Byron Patterson was born March 20, 1919 to Byron J. Patterson and Ruby McAlpin. He lived at 400 S 7th Avenue, Villisca, Montgomery County, Iowa. He died of acute MI on April 15, 1988 at his home in Villisca at the age of 69 years. Edward C. Piller, M. D.

Services for Francis Byron Patterson, 69, Villisca, were Monday afternoon at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Villisca, with the Rev. Steven Wainwright officiating. Burial was in the Villisca Cemetery with military services provided by the VFW Post No. 8998.
Mr. Patterson was born March 20, 1919, in Nodaway to Byron J. and Ruby McAlpin Patterson.
Francis B. Patterson was a career soldier, serving in WW 11 and the Korean War with the U.S. Army, serving in Company "F" 168th Infantry Regiment, Villisca, Iowa. Mr. Patterson was a corporal with the original rangers or commandoes.
He died Friday, April 15, 1988 at his home. Survivors include his brother, Duane Patterson of Villisca; two nieces, Laura Patterson of Kansas City, Missouri and Linda Byrne of Georgia.

Funeral services for Francis Byron Patterson, 69, of Villisca, were held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, April 18, 1988, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Villisca. The Reverend Steven Wainwright officiated the service.
Francis Gray provided the music.
Pall bearers were Charles Coy, Dwain Narigon, Cecil Newborn, Verlin Dicks, Don Baker, and Jim Williams.
Burial was in the Villisca Cemetery with military services provided by the VFW, Post 8998.
Francis Byron Patterson, son of Byron J. and Ruby McAlpin, was born March 20, 1919, at Nodaway, Iowa and passed away Friday, April 15, 1988, at his home in Villisca. Mr. Patterson was a career soldier, having served during World War II and the Korean War with the U.S. Army. He was also one of the original Rangers.
Survivors include one brother, Duane Patterson of Villisca, two nieces. Laura Patterson of Kansas City, and Linda Byrme of Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Wolfe Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
