Transferred from the 8th Inf. Division to the 2nd Ranger Battalion at Camp Forrest, Tn. and　landed at Pointe de Hoc, Normandy June 6, 1944 and fought with the Battalion throughout the war.　 Bill was from Zama, Mississippi.
